Panels: Civil Rights; Future Litigation
Jim Moody is a Washington DC public interest attorney. He has litigated a number of successful cases focused on abuse-of-power and government intrusion challenges, and he is an expert in Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) litigation. Moody also gained notoriety as defense counsel for Ms. Linda R. Tripp in the 1998 lawsuit against her by the State of Maryland, for allegedly violating the state’s wiretap statute. Tripp had secretly recorded White House intern Monica Lewinsky claiming to have an affair with then-President Bill Clinton. The case was dismissed in 2000.
